I have been in-country working with Global Shore for almost ten weeks now and cannot say enough about my experience thus far. I have had the opportunity to work alongside a great group of guys as we make continual progress on the new “careers school” which will be opening in the future. From my first day, here looking at a bunch of empty trenches, to just this week pouring the basement foundation inside a completely enclosed security way completed over the last few weeks, it is evident that the Lord’s has His hand on this project.
In addition to the ongoing construction project, I have been able to be a part of the daily activities at the current school. After a little more than a month of prayer, I was also able to enter into child sponsorship and now have a specific boy that I have been able to focus my love and attention on. I can say from personal experience that child sponsorship is more than just financial reassurance to these children, but instead is a relationship built on love and commitment. It has been such a joy to be a part of the children’s lives as I watch them be moulded for use in the Kingdom.
Having the opportunity to partner with Global Shore has been an incredible blessing in my life as I have had the opportunity to witness a ministry flourish under the direction of the Holy Spirit as well as many men and women of God who constantly strive to pour into the lives of their students. Paul sums it up perfectly when he says: “The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” (1 Cor. 3:8-9) Praise be to God for His abundant blessings through this ministry.
