Kieran is part of a beautiful campus community called UCM (University Campus Ministries) over at UBC in Vancouver, BC. The feel and sense of this community is one of real inclusion and love, and we were so fortunate here at GSO to establish a connection with them through some of our alumni of our Summer Program.
From Kieran:
I first partnered with Global Shore on a short-term missions trip to El Tizate in 2015. I was tremendously blessed by the experience and enjoyed serving with the ministry, befriending new people, and growing closer to God and my teammates during that time, and it was because of this trip that I developed a growing desire to support the work of Global Shore and tell others about the ministry. I signed up for Global Shore’s “100 at a hundred” fundraiser and invited friends over for brownies to celebrate my 22nd birthday. My friends and family gave generously to Global Shore (we raised $209.33!) and I quite enjoyed the celebration. A friend introduced those at the celebration to a fun new version of freeze tag, and my friends encouraged me by praying for me at the end of the evening. I’m so thankful to God and to Global Shore for these experiences, the ability to celebrate, and the opportunity to support the work of this ministry.
Thanks so much Kieran for choosing to partner with us!! You are a blessing to the school and kids in Guatemala! Pictured is the team from UCM, visiting us in Guatemala in 2015.
