In December of 2021, Jervin and Jasmin moved their family 9 hours away to Poptún to start a church and eventually open a new GSO-run school.
After initially planning to start a school within five years, they felt the Lord prompting them to start the school sooner than expected, and in 2023, they taught six students in their home.
Today, CCAF Poptún is thriving. The school has moved out of Jervin and Jasmin's home into a two-classroom rented schoolhouse, where they teach ten students from kindergarten to grade 3.
